How we work – openly and verifiably

Trust is built on transparency. That is why we explain openly how JournalPlus.ch works, how editorial content is produced, how advertising is labelled and how we deal with errors.

Ownership

JournalPlus.ch is currently operated by Aare Beratung Akcan, based in Selzach, Switzerland.

Editorial responsibility lies with JournalPlus.ch.

Editorial independence

Our editorial decisions are taken independently of political parties, public authorities, companies and other interest groups.

Advertising content and editorial reporting are consistently kept separate.

Partnerships and sponsorship have no influence on our journalistic work.

Funding

JournalPlus.ch is funded through:

advertising
sponsorship
labelled partnerships
voluntary reader support
digital subscriptions (in future)

All paid content is clearly labelled as advertising, sponsored content or a paid partnership.

Labelling of content

We distinguish clearly between different types of content.

Editorial contribution
Content researched independently and edited by our editorial team.

Analysis or commentary
Personal assessment or evaluation by the editorial team or by individual authors.

Guest contribution
Contributions by external authors are labelled accordingly.

Sponsored content
Commercial content is clearly identified as advertising or as a paid partnership.

Research and sources

We research carefully and verify information according to journalistic standards.

Wherever possible we base our reporting on several mutually independent sources.

Official documents, information from public authorities, studies and reputable national and international media form the basis of our work.

Handling errors

If factual errors come to our attention, we correct them quickly and transparently.

Substantial changes to published articles are marked accordingly.

Conflicts of interest

Editorial decisions are taken independently.

If authors have personal or commercial interests in a topic, these are – where relevant – disclosed, or the contribution is assigned to another person.

Use of artificial intelligence

JournalPlus.ch uses modern technology and artificial intelligence to support editorial workflows.

AI may be used, among other things, for:

research support
analysis of large volumes of information
translation
structuring information
linguistic refinement
producing summaries

Journalistic responsibility remains with the editorial team at all times.

Every published contribution is reviewed editorially before publication.

AI replaces no journalistic responsibility.

Working with third parties

JournalPlus.ch may work with external specialists, experts or media partners.

Such collaborations are – where relevant – disclosed transparently.

The protection of personal data matters to us.
